A sticky trap is a GLUE BASED trap to catch and immobilize insect pests. It is made up of cardboard with a layer of non-drying and sticky glue.   It is an insect monitoring tool used to detect insect pests and their population. The bright color of the trap attracts the flying insect pest towards the trap. Then, attracted pest sticks on the glue applied on the surface of the trap and eventually get killed. Sticky traps detect the occurrence of the pest in the early stages of crops and prevent unnecessary use of chemical pesticides.

It is used for the control of flying-sucking pests such as Winged aphids, Fungus gnats, Whiteflies, Flower thrips, Flea beetles, Leaf-miner flies, and Green leafhoppers.
